ClusterPower builds 200MW data centre in Romania

Romanian cloud service provider ClusterPower has laid out $43 million to start building a data centre campus near the southern city of Craiova.

The 273,000 sq ft campus will scale to a power output of 200MW, once all five data centres being planned come on stream, said ClusterPower.

The exact location of the Tier-3-designed facility is at Mischii in Dolj. The project is the first hyperscale data centre in the region, and has received around half of its initial budget from state funding as part of the Romanian government’s efforts to stimulate digital economic growth in the country.
